I'm glad made this sweater because I got to learn some cool facts which I will now share with you...
The fleece used for this yarn is sourced from baby alpacas – which I just found out are called "cria" – meaning the knit is super soft and also hypoallergenic. Baby alpacas are also , in case you were wondering. Norse chose to leave the yarn in the natural colours of the Alpaca, allowing you to appreciate the animal that provided this incredible material. The yarn is sourced and knit in Peru, meaning that there isn't as much transport back-and-forth either.
It's also interesting to note that alpaca are environmentally friendly animals. Not in the sense that they use paper straws and avoid fossil fuels, but they do eat less than sheep and produce more fleece. It's likely that as the world reckons with the real cost of clothing production, you'll be hearing more of our Alpaca friends.
